About us

Project Automation S.p.A. is the name taken in April 1999 by Philips Automation S.p.A.. Formed in 1987, the latter had taken over the Enviromental, Industrial and Civil Automation Business Units of the Philips group’s Industrial & Electro-Acoustic Systems Division. They subsequently acquired the "Traffic" Business Unit too.

Today Project Automation is a leading name in "telemetering, monitoring and control system engineering" applied to the Environmental Monitoring, Mobility Supervision and Control, Public Transport Management Systems.

We specialize in integrating innovative electronic and telematic technologies to produce complex systems and equipment.

Project Automation has a Company Quality System certified according to the standards ISO 9001:2015 (Quality), ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health and Safety Management), ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management), SA8000:2014 (Social Accountability), UNI/PdR 125:2022 (Gender Equality) for the following actiivities: Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Supervision and Control System Engineering, including: design, installation, rental, maintenance, technical assistance and management.

Furthermore, Project Automation has obtained the ISO / IEC 27001:2013 certification for the following activities: supply and outsourcing services digital red lights speed enforcement and restricted area systems for detection of traffic violations.

We have our own Research & Development organization - complete with an experimental laboratory - and we have on-going cooperation agreements with various Research Institutes/Universities as well as numerous Partners and Suppliers.
