Traffic data collection systems

This system allows to collect traffic data (typically: speed, counting, density) for Advanced Traffic Information and Management Services (ATIS-ATMS). Traffic data are collected through sensors of different kind: inductive loop, non intrusive technologies such as digital processing of video signals, “above ground” devices such as radar, microwaves, laser.

Data gathered by sensors are sent via the communication network (ADSL, GPRS, UMTS…) to a Control Centre equipped with software applications designed and implemented by Project Automation (PACIS Suite, OLAP applications based on Data Warehouse approach).
