Systems for emergency calls on route (SOS)

Over the course of time, the SOS emergency call system has proved to meet the requirements of the emergency call request service in a motorway context. The system operates on two-wire telephone cable (duplex) laid alongside the motorway, which can be up to 400 kilometres long and which feeds the emergency points along the motorway, allowing alarm transmission and phone communication between user and centre operator.

Besides its initial use on motorways, new users have shown interest towards these systems: emergency calls and interphone systems for public parks, industrial installations and sports facilities. New functions were therefore added, such as digital voice recording and system control via remote stations, through special software system designed and implemented by Project Automation.
